A Few Minutes

It was a few minutes

Of flashes, dashes and poses,

Change positions and partners

Do it again

   Long gowns and rented tuxedos,

Smiles, hugs and handshakes,

A grad class ducking in

From the rain,

It ended as it started

Turn around and they were all gone,

In a way like many spend lifetimes

In a dance without a theme song.
