The gig is all but up
Yet the shell game continues,
Nothing like a royal wedding
To keep the Brits and some
Of the once commonwealth
Smiling idiotically over their pints,
A maybe US candidate gets the
Realty bunch all gung ho by
Promising to tell China and the
World to go to hell while their
Presses keep spitting out dollars,
But hey, nothing tops Canadians,
Everything revolves around a hockey game
Perhaps
Machiavelli was
meant for us,
We’ve had the G20 party and never
Ending games and most Canadians
Don’t give a rats ass whether or not
The neo-conservatives are screwing
Our cracked democracy and once
Untamed freedom.
