Assholes Of The Modern Kind
My first glimpse at the thoughts
Of Leo Strauss caused a rebellion
In my mind,
But now the sickening storm
In the stomach is perhaps
Because he may be partly
Right,
Watching the American
Political ads makes one wonder,
The rest of the world is not
Far behind in this vomit
Inducing nonsense,
Do the noble lie,
Deceit and deception
Have seats in the evolving
Heart,
Does using your knowledge,
Intelligence and power
To the disadvantage
Of someone else,
Keep us trudging
In the bullshit
And mire
That stinks from the
Beginning of time,
Is the only difference
Between then and now
Is that we’re modern day
Assholes
With BlackBerries and iPhones.
