Avocado Craving

There’s a buzz in the air

Must be spring sitting on the horizon,

People out there walking whispering

Winter gossip, if only the pounds would

Shed so easily, save our eyes the bulging

Spandex and overflowing stuffed bikinis

And shorts of summer following shortly,

Perhaps a warning from a goddess, it’s

All about the foods we eat, slice a carrot

See the structure of your eye, halve a

Tomato reveal the chambers of your

Heart, grapes in clusters form its shape,

Crack a walnut see the model of a brain,

Do celery sticks look like bones, kidney

Beans are easy, open an avocado see the

Cervix and the womb, figs hang in twos

Like you know who’s, sweet potatoes

Portray the pancreas, olives are like the

Ovaries, citrus opened shows the texture

Of the mammaries, onions are like cells,

Nature makes it easy she smiled and said,

Left me wondering about bananas and

Why this crazy avocado craving.
