Canary In The Cage
In our phony world of
Pesticides and plastics,
Highly educated smiles
And genetic engineering,
Our domineering mindset
Ignores some simple things,
We can take an apple apart
But we can’t restore it to its
Natural
glorious symmetry,
Is our canary in the cage
The disappearing honey bee.
