Can’t See Me

She said as soon as she

Touched his shoulder

She knew that he

Had left in the night,

For a moment she

Was angry that he

Didn’t wake her

To say goodbye,

Then she started to

Cry tears she had

Never known,

As she reached for

The phone to call

Somebody, anybody,

It was as if a light

In her mind was

Speaking without words,

Babe, I haven’t left,

You just can’t see me.
