Dreams In The Night

Husbands and wives

And dreams in the night,

Twisting and turning

To the ongoing flight

Of strangers and singles

Coming and going

Old lovers lagging laughing

Seemingly knowing

The joy and the sadness

The unending beats

Of too many hearts

The madness,

Damp sheets,

The utter utopian

Pink lava lights

And fallopian tubes

Towing dreamers into

The cold grey morning.
