Glass Slipper

Sometimes with loneliness

Comes holiness,

At other times

Horniness,

I watched from afar

As the lonely woman

Fluttered between the two,

Driven by hormones

And anxiety

She desperately tried

To find the glue

To bind them both

In tether,

But like that famous

 Glass slipper,

The match, the fit,

Eluded her time after time,

After time.
