So here we go
Again
On
Monday,
Sunday stragglers
Dragging in
Their bodies,
Showing up
At places they
Don’t want to be,
Coffeeing up
To work at jobs
They don’t
Want to do,
Counting change
For the Wednesday
Lotto,
A carrot to carry
Them over the hump
And then,
The weekend
Flickers ahead,
Barbeques, beaches,
Beer, babes,
Whatever until,
It’s here we go
Again
On Monday.
