I Thought

After rational thought

I shredded the letters,

Deleted the messages,

And thought I had come

To terms with the

Impossibility of it all,

The craziness of it all,

Friends really strangers

By day,

Lovers really lovers

By night

In that place we call

Dreaming,

But is it,

Then your new message

Arrived and the intensity

Thrived once again,

The impossibility

The craziness

Resurrected,

I’m back on square one

Recalling the old Yogini

Who said Kundalini

Works in ways not of this world,

She would shake the very ground

I thought I was standing on.
