I Watch You

I watch you

Through the beauty

Of the unexplained in

Human words

As you lock these letters

Into meaning,

I see the slight

Movement of your lips

Responding to

The unconscious touch

Of your tongue,

The barely visible

Arching of your brows,

Your quick glance around

As you mentally move

The meaning

Back and forth

To fit under your

Understanding.

I feel the shiver

You softly send

Through the shroud,

As I sit in silent splendor

Midst the mystery

Marveling at your wonder

And the greatness

Of it all.
