In Our Minds

Living alone in our minds

At times we never know it,

We close and bolt the doors

Do the shades pull the blinds,

Work and mingle with each other

On unconscious auto orbit,

The conversation ever running

The one that goes on me to me,

Nodding, smiling, hugging, shaking,

No one hears the mental humming

The whispers whispering privately.
