In The Late Winter Days

In the late winter days

Of revolution and dollar chaos

We almost had

A heart to heart,

But it fell apart

Near the start

Of saying what we feel,

Nearly candid and free

T’il the buzz of the bee

Of reality took things

Back to conservative

Conventions of the safe

Roads of hello, how are you,

While our naked emotions

Raced around our minds,

Coming together in an embrace

Of reckless abandon in

That place of imagination.
