There are rules and security To keep the homeless, Breast feeding mothers, The mentally challenged And other undesirables Out of the mall, It is kept sterile for Shoppers and staff Numb to the people Living on the edge, Picking things over Peeking through hedges And fences watching For a dumpster to be Left unlocked.
