Let’s Go To
The Moon
Let’s go to the moon
She said,
Why the moon?
Do you know a better place?
So off we went
To the face we all
Have wondered at
Since we were kids,
It surprised me
It was like a lovers’ lane
But after all it was the moon,
There were others there
In different degrees
Of undress,
Someone hollered
Don’t look up
It will spoil your mood,
Of course that’s like saying
Don’t think about
Your lover naked,
Almost everyone looked up
And saw such shit going on
On the beautiful planet earth
That moods indeed were broken,
But she had not looked up
Busy as she was undressing,
She pulled me sweetly back
To raw reality.
