In a Joni Mitchell song,
It won’t be long
Before the cost
Of yesterday
Has us all
Wandering a tune,
Sooner than later,
Trying to escape
Reality if only
For a minute or two,
But those unprepared,
Stuck in denial
Unaware of what
Is going on,
What song
Will they sing,
Will there be
A melody for them.
