Meeleirrek
– 9
They met at three in the morning
Past the place where the ravens
Whistle warnings about this,
That and everything under
And beyond the sun,
Though the run
In her stockings
Was more than noticeable
He didn’t seem to care,
It was obvious the pair
Had been together through
Eons of time perhaps longer,
Oblivious to the howling hounds
And the neon flashing 2012,
Closer than close, their heads together
As if discussing a rhyme, a feeling,
Maybe the design she was painting,
Then, like an apparition, they were gone,
Leaving the hounds sniffing,
The ravens squawking,
The neon flashing.
