Never In Love
Sometimes we think our way
Into no win situations,
Like bureaucrats and politicians
Coloring the picture to the
Shades of perfection we perceive
In that illusion of who knows
What is really real,
Then the stupidity of stupid
Steps in and we defend
Those thoughts, ideas, decisions,
Events, way past the edges
Of logic and common sense,
This may appear to work
In politics, business, religion,
Cliques
and gossip,
But never in love,
For love beats to the heart
Of the matter where naked
Passion peels away pretence
And artful planning.
