Newt And The Moon
Newt and the moon
Chasing a new affair
Is one thing,
But a US state
Is as mind bending
As Britain’s claim
To the Falkland Islands,
I’m all for big ideas
But don’t we have
Our fill of cheap
Hamburger architecture
On almost every corner
Across from the bitter
Burnt coffee guys,
When we look up
At the skies
Do we want to see
Stars twinkling
Or stars spangling,
The moon as it is
Or an apple sized
Bite from its side,
But then I suppose
There are worse scenarios
Than Newt and the moon.
