Nuances Of Mathematics

There was something about

The slow sax

On KPLU that brought

Back a distant summer,

It was hot and humid

Sometimes warm and dry,

With a sky that seemed

To stretch forever to

Pinch the horizon like

A grandmother crimping

Crust on an apple pie,

The summer you showed

Me how sexy sweat

On a woman can really be,

And why sixty nine

Is in a zone that must

Be known to appreciate

The nuances of mathematics.
