Recollection
Like almost everyone
I have a vague recollection
About the first great
Truth dilemma,
What! No Santa Clause,
No Stork, no Easter Bunny!
After that no one in the
Real world of before and after
School could say for sure
Whether they were adopted
Or not, maybe our hockey and
Baseball heroes did smoke and
Drink and chase wild women,
I’m not sure when I realized
That some political, religious, and
Corporate leaders would stretch the
Truth into the land of fabrication
And beyond, then accuse those who
Didn’t of doing what they themselves
Were doing.
