Repeating

The ambiguous question

Of money versus time

Of time versus money

Grows mute with age,

Most times too late

The answer comes,

The fate of being

Human so tempted by

Temporal things that in

Early days ring of success

And glory and fiendish fame,

Money can be earned again,

Re-scrounged, manufactured,

But time my dear once used

Can never be recaptured,

The money ones may say

It’s all been said before,

Of course it has, but

It’s always worth

Repeating.
