The jewelry store

Has closed next door,

Young lady’s things

Purses, bags and body

Pieces, backed in

A truck and loaded

Up not in the night but

Early morning before

The mall was open,

A sign of the times

There’s more to come

As the system shakes

And rattles and people

Pay the battle price,

Well something nice

I met A Mrs. Jones

Today in a sort of way,

The diary and the song

Got mixed but quickly

Fixed by a pretty friend

Who hints she may

Stay single.
