Not a world famous St. Viateur Bagel.

A bagel is a bagel. I thought so once,

But quickly changed after tasting a St. Viateur.

$3.29 for a bagel … what’s she eating?

Who? The cute chick over there licking the

White stuff away from the corner of her mouth

With the tip of her tongue. She has a St. Viateur bagel.

Okay, get me one, with a black coffee.

He walked over to the chair the lady had been

Sitting in and cuddled his way into the still warm

Leather as though the pretty woman was still sitting there,

Sniffed like a sailor checking the ocean wind.

He devoured his St. Viateur bagel, slurped his coffee,

Licked his finger, dabbed up the crumbs from his plate

And without bothering to wipe the cream cheese from around

His mouth he stood up and started to leave. How was it, I asked.

Good he mumbled.
