Strange

Snow in April

Seems strange for

The Island,

But then why not!

The world is strange.

No neck Canadian neocons

Deny access to a sitting

British MP using Bush

League rhetoric and

Knuckle dragging terrorist

Chest thumping,

Apathetic citizens don’t

Recognize that removal

Of free speech is the crest

Of a slippery slope

That has set the world

On its ass too many

Times in the past,

Israel announces it

Plans to keep the Palestinian

Ghetto going

And no one is protesting,

I suppose Ahenakew

Is proof enough that

Some things are taboo,

Afghanistan unveils

Draconian laws regarding

Women, why are our young

People dying over there

Propping up these

Crazy stooges,

Africa is too sad

To talk about,

Winter coats and mittens

On The Island’s April flowers,

Birds and kittens,

Why should that seem strange?
