Summer Like
A Lover
As the clouds burned off,
Summer,
Like a lover leaving,
Glancing back over a shoulder,
Lost in grey uncertain
Emotions and reasons
For going,
Wondering
If you will remember,
If you will forget,
An unintentional last
Tempting tease,
How could you forget,
How could you
Not remember,
As the late summer sun
Smothers your face,
Your body
In hot sultry kisses,
You will never forget
You will always remember.
