The Coping Wheel
She takes Prozac
To numb her libido,
Can’t find a man
To accept who she is,
Can’t accept who she is
Herself at times,
He takes Zoloft
To suppress his anger,
Aggression, depression,
The kid is fed Ritalin
To quiet his energy,
Excitement, his ADHD,
I suppose we all
Take or do something,
Me, I used to smoke
Erinmore Flake and drink
Scotch and Drambuie,
Now I just write
Poetry.
