The Editors

It was a crazy full moon

Over Quadra,

The editor, the older one,

 Stopped by

For a drink and a

Pan Au Chocolat,

Then off to a local

Performance of

Vivaldi’s Gloria,

And Ralph, the jazzman,

Played on and sang

Moon songs to an

Audience of two,

The mortgage broker

And her husband,

And of course

The younger editor,

The sexy one, stood by,

I don’t think she

Was thinking about

Vivaldi’s Gloria,

Perhaps her fellow,

Her fireplace,

And all of those other

Wonderful things

A jazzman singing

To an audience of two

Stirs in the soul

And elsewhere.
