Behind the skirts
Of the Governor Gen
Proroguing parliament
Again and again,
Stonewalling this
Stonewalling that
Pointing fingers
Like cartoon cats,
Inquiries stymied
Committees stopped
Charges laid
Charges dropped,
An allegation
They call the cops
Won’t say why
An MP was chopped,
When they’re caught
And feeling heat
They wrap in arrogance
In smug deceit.
