The Party

 So the party started

And like many parties

Circled around a concept,

A concept like many others

That was little known or understood,

Different shades in different minds,

But hey when the dancing starts

You grab a hand and away

You go,

Amid the music, laughter and cheer

Did anyone hear one country cry

Stability not democracy,

Another give a speech

A day too soon,

Oh well, details

Were being placed in place

As the party raged and as with

All parties the morning after would

Awake with questions, revelations, lost

Bits of memory, headaches here and there,

And the haunting echo what in the hell really

Happened.
