We Sit In The Shadows

We sit in the shadows

Waiting for a bit

Of light

That we might

Play with,

Roll around

In our hands,

Perhaps touch

With our tongues,

Some try to hide it,

Hoard it, keep it,

Not realizing the light

Is for everyone,

Like undressing

Your lover to the skin

To get in deeper,

The energy you create

Cannot be held in a jar,

It goes here and there

Near and far,

Touching everyone,

In one way or another.
