When You Cannot

It is difficult

When you cannot

Touch her nose with yours,

Press your lips against hers,

Unbutton her blouse

Pull her close,

It is hard

When you cannot

Slide your hands down

Her hips,

Gently guide her

Onto you,

It is sad

When you cannot

Understand why one

Who could,

Pays little attention,

Shows little concern,

Leaves her trembling,

Wishing, hoping,

Wanting.
